Hi, From the demonstration video, it seems like for each task, participants were required to walk for 20 steps, and then wait for the audio instruction to stand still or walk back etc. But I noticed that participant are not supposed to touch the app, and for each stage (e.g. outbound), it lasted for 30 seconds or so. So I assumed that for each stage of each task, we should have 30 seconds of data. But from what I checked with the data, there are lots of task where some stages have less than 10 seconds of data. So does the app have a steps detection system such that when people reaches 20 steps it will stop and move to the next session? Thanks.

The walking exercise is performed based on time not steps. There was a change in the protocol from early where data was collected for 15 seconds in outbound and 15s for return and 30s for standing vs 30s of walking and 30s of standing. They should - with focus on should not that they actually do - put the phone in their pocket for entirety of the walk and standing exercise. They are given verbal instructions while they are performing the task to indicate what to do next. As for some tasks being shorter than others this could be due to a few things: * The app stopped collecting data for some reason * They stopped the task early * There was a bug that slowed the data collection * etc.
Any thought?
