Hi @LucaChiesa and the organizing team, Quick question on the writeup: since we are still iterating on our pipeline over this final week and the workflow we ultimately submit may differ from what we can document on October 31, is the October 31 writeup deadline a hard cutoff, or would it be acceptable to finalize and upload the writeup within a short grace period after the submission (on the order of a week)? Hello @yfjiang, The October 31st deadline was selected since it coincides with the end of the challenge. The writeup you submit should be a technical report describing the workflow you used in the challenge for one submission (one submission => one writeup). Since the writeup should contain only a technical description of your workflow, you should be able to submit it by the deadline, for a more detailed analysis and description of your method we encourage you to write an article about it after the challenge (we are really curious to know all the details!). Delays are acceptable (see below) but they must be notified by email before the end of the challenge. For possible delays in writeup submission there are two scenarios: 1. You are in the top5 teams in the official leaderboard (or you are clearly projected to be). 2. You performed better than random but you fall outside the top5. For **scenario 1** these teams will receive an invitation to the Prospective Phase of the challenge, the existence of a complete writeup is a requirement for invitation. Since the Prospective Phase will start in the first week of November, as soon as the official results are released, missing writeups will delay the start. A notified delay of a few days is acceptable, but a longer delay might result in the exclusion from the Prospective Phase (you will be notified by email before this happens). For **scenario 2**, longer notified delays are acceptable (7-10 days) but heavily discouraged. Furthermore, in case some of the teams in the top5 decline their invitation to the prospective phase we might invite teams ranked 6th and below, in this eventuality the conditions of scenario 1 apply.
