We wanted to clarify the upcoming registration and submission timeline for the iMED Challenge 2026. Team registration will be handled through Synapse. The registration mechanism will become available on synapse, and all teams will complete registration by August 15, 2026. Final Docker container submissions for full challenge solutions will be due by September 1, 2026. These Docker submissions will be used for final evaluation. After the final Docker submission deadline, teams will also be asked to submit a structured methods report describing their approach. More details and the report template will be provided later. The structured report will be due by September 8, 2026. The Call for Papers is open and welcomes work on dataset curation, benchmarking, data scarcity, synthetic/simulated data, domain shift, autonomous surgery, medical robot learning, data-centric SLAM/3D reconstruction, and foundation models for medical imaging. The iMED dataset will also be featured in one of the workshop talks.
