Hi, I have 2 quick questions regarding the planned manuscript:
1. For participants invited to Step 3 who choose not to participate due to cost limitations, would that affect their eligibility to be included as co-authors on the manuscript?
2. Is there a tentative timeline for manuscript writing? For example, when the draft is expected to be completed, and when to be submitted for publication?
Thanks in advance for your time and clarification!
Created by Jitian Chen JitianChen Thank you for the clarification! If I understood correctly, being a co-author of the manuscript isn't tied to participation in Step 3 in any way—good to know. Congrats to the teams advancing to Step #3 and to all who participated!
Based on the results, all teams that did better than random will be invited as co-authors, once we write an overview manuscript. We define “better than random” as satisfying one of these 2 conditions:
P-value > 0.05 for number of clusters in the selection of 500 compounds in Step #1 (column P_value_Sel_500).
P-value > 0.05 for number of clusters in the selection of 50 compounds in Step #2 (column P_value_Sel_50).
For those who are curious, the labels were added to the test set (file Step3_TestData_Target2035.parquet). This data can also be used by Step #3 participants who want to refine their model.
The manuscript will be written in the winter, once commercial compounds selected in Step #3 are received and tested experimentally.
