Hi,
We’re interested in testing a model we’re developing for this competition, but we’re unsure if we can open-source all components of it. Would it be possible to participate using a closed-source approach?
Best,
Mikael
Created by Mikael Christensen Mikaelhc Roughly $20K (Canadian Dollars) to test up to 50 compounds. These expenses do not include purchasing compounds and are waived for members of the MAINFRAME community. Compound price typically varies from US$20 to US$200 per compound. How large is the expected cost of testing compounds? (roughly) Participation to the prospective step is not mandatory. If you advance to the prospective prediction step in this challenge, you will be asked to cover costs of testing compounds if you are not part of the MAINFRAME community. You can join MAINFRAME at https://aircheck.ai/mainframe Does we need to get access to mainframe? Thanks for the clarification.
I have submitted my application to the MANINFRAME community and hope to get approved before this competition. You will be invited to co-author a joint publication if all three of the following apply: [1] you are part of the MAINFRAME community; [2] you are in the top 25 at the end of the retrospective phase; [3] you retrospectively identified non-obvious compounds. Of course, anyone is free to write independently their own manuscript, as is customary in CACHE challenges. Just a follow-up question. Are we allowed to publish the results in the retrospective phase if we don't want to enter the prospective phase due to financial concerns about purchasing compounds? Thank you. Small correction: you can participate all the way to the end with closed source models, but if you advance to the prospective phase, you will be asked to cover all experimental costs. MAINFRAME participants will not have to cover the cost of testing their predicted compounds experimentally but will have to purchase their compounds. If they place in the top 3 in the retrospective phase, we will purchase their compounds. We will also purchase compounds for another 2 MAINFRAME participants placing in the top 10 (in the retrospective phase) if they are in low and medium income countries. In order to qualify to the next rounds and be a best performer, models indeed beed to be open sourced.
Thanks for the interest
