I’m interested in participating in one of the BraTS segmentation challenges. I have a quick question about the scope of acceptable submissions. Does the challenge only require proposing a new state-of-the-art segmentation architecture, or is it also acceptable to submit a study comparing architectures, such as an extension of an existing model, if the work offers valuable insights (even if the performance isn’t necessarily better)?

Hi @nimasa . Thank you for your question.
We invite participants to employ their chosen methodologies; no strict requirements concerning the applied methodology are imposed.
Nonetheless, teams intending to submit models for the testing phase must provide a standard manuscript detailing their methodology, experiments, and a subsequent discussion section of the results.
For illustrative examples, please refer to the contributions from the 2023 challenge, accessible through the following [LNCS](https://link.springer.com/book/10.1007/978-3-031-76163-8).
