Hi, Is there any supplementary information for the pre treatment GBM as there is with the post treatment data? Best, Tobias

@TobiasEkman Thank you for reaching out. Yes, all the cases with identical subject IDs (BraTS-GLI-XXXXX) are related to the same subjects (regardless of their pre- or post-treatment status). Best regards, /Mehdi
Thank you for the information. Quick question related to my earlier message; it looks like some patients are present both in preoperative and postoperative datasets. Are these the same patients? @TobiasEkman This message provides an important update concerning the evaluation procedure for the BraTS-GLI (Glioma Segmentation on Pre- and Post-treatment MRI) task. The BraTS-GLI challenge incorporates both pre-treatment and post-treatment MRI scans within its dataset. A notable distinction in post-treatment scans is the potential inclusion of an additional label representing the resected cavity in patients who have undergone surgical intervention. The training and validation sets for pre- and post-treatment data are currently provided separately. We have implemented an adjustment for the final testing phase. To enhance the clinical relevance of the evaluation, we have decided to facilitate the distinction between pre-treatment and post-treatment MRIs for participants during the testing phase. Specifically, participants will be able to differentiate between pre-treatment and post-treatment scans by examining the image filenames. A detailed description of the filename conventions is available on the BraTS-GLI Wiki page at BraTS-GLI Wiki page. Therefore, participants have the option to develop and utilize two distinct models: one for pre-treatment gliomas and another for post-treatment gliomas. For the testing phase submission, however, these models must be integrated and submitted as a single containerized pipeline. Please note that the evaluation in both the validation and testing phases will continue to be performed on all cases collectively, irrespective of their treatment status.
Hi, thank you for the questions. Clinical and metadata are available for a subset of the BraTS 2021 pre-operative dataset; however, such data are not provided for the BraTS 2025 GLI segmentation task. Relevant information regarding the BraTS 2021 pre-operative data can be accessed via [TCIA link](https://www.cancerimagingarchive.net/analysis-result/rsna-asnr-miccai-brats-2021/). Furthermore, it is confirmed that the pre-operative and post-treatment datasets are independent. It is important to note that although pre and post data are currently provided separately, this distinction will **not **be maintained during the final **testing phase** for participants. /Mehdi
Hi, Thank you for the response. I see. So there is no corresponding spreadsheet showing age, sex and glioma type? All I could find in the older challenges were the mapping files. Also, am i right in understanding that there are no connections between pre and post op data, i.e. there are no patients with both pre and post op images? Best, Tobias
@TobiasEkman Hi, The subject employed for training in the pre-treatment GLI task is identical to those used in the BraTS challenges spanning 2021 through 2023. Despite this consistency in subjects, a notable difference exists in the data preprocessing pipeline. Specifically, the data for the current GLI task (2025) are supplied in MNI space, distinguishing them from the preprocessing applied in the referenced BraTS years. For comprehensive details on the pre-treatment data, please read the following reference [link](https://arxiv.org/pdf/2107.02314) "**The RSNA-ASNR-MICCAI BraTS 2021 Benchmark on Brain Tumor Segmentation and Radiogenomic Classification**."
