Dear Sir/Madam, I am wondering when the data for Task 1 (Pre- and Post-Treatment Adult Glioma) will be released. According to the timeline, it should have been available from March 10, but I am unable to find its folder in the Files. Could you kindly confirm the release status? Thank you for your consideration!

Dear @Btob01 I sincerely apologize for the delay in opening the validation queue. We're in the final stages of completing some non-technical steps and will announce the opening shortly. I appreciate your patience. /Mehdi
Dear Sir @astaraki, Since it's been weeks, I'm wondering if there's any update on the evaluation submission portal of BraTS-GLI challenge?
@Btob01 This message provides an important update concerning the evaluation procedure for the BraTS-GLI (Glioma Segmentation on Pre- and Post-treatment MRI) task. The BraTS-GLI challenge incorporates both pre-treatment and post-treatment MRI scans within its dataset. A notable distinction in post-treatment scans is the potential inclusion of an additional label representing the resected cavity in patients who have undergone surgical intervention. The training and validation sets for pre- and post-treatment data are currently provided separately. We have implemented an adjustment for the final testing phase. To enhance the clinical relevance of the evaluation, we have decided to facilitate the distinction between pre-treatment and post-treatment MRIs for participants during the testing phase. Specifically, participants will be able to differentiate between pre-treatment and post-treatment scans by examining the image filenames. A detailed description of the filename conventions is available on the BraTS-GLI Wiki page at BraTS-GLI Wiki page. Therefore, participants have the option to develop and utilize two distinct models: one for pre-treatment gliomas and another for post-treatment gliomas. For the testing phase submission, however, these models must be integrated and submitted as a single containerized pipeline. Please note that the evaluation in both the validation and testing phases will continue to be performed on all cases collectively, irrespective of their treatment status.
Hi @Btob01 The schedule for the commencement of the validation phase, along with the relevant submission guidelines, will be announced within the upcoming week. /Mehdi
Hi @astaraki, thank you for your kind help! I’m wondering — after training my model, do I need to wait for the submission portal to open in order to validate my method on the official ground truth of the validation set? I haven’t seen detailed instructions yet regarding how or when we’ll be able to submit predictions for validation, so I just wanted to clarify. Thanks again in advance!
@Btob01 Thank you for your question. It is important to note that the final testing dataset will not distinguish between 'pre' and 'post' treatment cases. Therefore, while the training (and validation datasets) are provided in separate directories representing 'pre' and 'post' treatment settings, methodologies and experimental designs might be formulated to meet the unified structure of the testing phase. /Mehdi
Thank you @astaraki for replying. As I look at the data folder, there are two subsets: "BraTS-GLI Pre-treatment" and "BraTS-GLI Post-treatment." I’m wondering about the intended approach for model training. Should we combine both subsets into a single dataset and train one unified model, or should we train separate models for each subset? I’d appreciate any guidance on the best practice for handling these subsets. Thanks again!
Hi @Btob01 and @DarylWM Sorry for the delay in my reply. The datasets for all tasks except for the Histology (which will be published soon) have been released. Please let me know if you have any questions. /Mehdi
Hi @astaraki Thank you for your work on data preparation. Are you able to provide an update on the timeline for data release? Best regards
Hi @Btob01 Thank you for your message. Currently the dataset for the following four tasks are available: Meningioma (pre and RT), Metastasis, and Inpainting. Within the next few days, datasets for other tasks, including Adult Glioma, will be available as well. I will update you in this thread upon the release of the data. Best,
