The description states that the videos are 25 FPS, but after downloading a few samples from the dataset, I see that they are 60 FPS. Is there a specific reason for this? Were any interpolation methods applied, or did some encoding step change the frame rate of the videos?

Hello, The 25 FPS corresponds to the initial version of the released dataset. In a later update, we decided to provide access to videos at higher frame rates to better support fine-grained temporal analysis, including detailed instrument motion and surgical dynamics. No interpolation was applied to artificially increase the frame rate. The higher-FPS videos are derived directly from the original recordings and were preserved during the data preparation process.
