Hi there, I am wondering if the sampling age for the ROSMAP whole genome sequencing data is available. Specifically, within syn21323366 (biospecimen), 391 samples of the WGS tissues were from blood and 805 from brain. We can derive the sampling ages for the brain samples from expired age, however for the blood samples, is there a way to obtain such ininformation? Thanks!

Hello, thanks for your question. Any information regarding sampling age available on the portal would be available in the samplingAge column of the ROSMAP biospecimen metadata csv file that you linked above. I've checked the csv and can confirm these samples do not have a samplingAge provided. It is possible that blood samples were also collected postmortem, but I cannot say for sure. I would recommend reaching out to David Bennett for clarification. His contact information and more information regarding these data can be found in the paper: https://www.nature.com/articles/sdata2018142. Please let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks, Erik
