Hi, thanks for your interesting work. I take a look at the feature name with age information (death age, first access age, etc.) and the unit looks interesting for me. I wonder how the age being determined, for example, why there exist so many ages with high numerical precision and why age is not int but float? Would you please suggest any plans for analyzing the age, e.g., transferring them into int or count data, will it be helpful? Hello, According to the RADC's documentation, "Age of death is calculated from subtracting date of birth from date of death and dividing the difference by days per year (365.25)". Multiplying some of the ages you've posted in this post by 365.25 does give whole numbers, so this checks out. If you'd like to use integers/counts, you can either round the ages get integer years, or you can use the conversion to integer days by multiplying by 365.25. We do have to censor ages over 90, so anyone 90 and older is labeled as "90+" instead of a number. In my research I just set these values to 90 since I'm not worried about precision. If you need uncensored ages, you will have to request that data directly from the RADC: https://www.radc.rush.edu/ You can also find detailed documentation about all the variables available, including extra variables/features that we don't host on Synapse but can be requested from the RADC. I hope that helps! Let me know if you have any more questions. Jaclyn Beck
