Is it mandatory for our model to work on both datasets?
The size of the abdominal dataset is too large, and I have computational limitations. I mostly won't be able to train my model on that dataset.
So, my question is, if I submit a single model trained on the brain dataset for a single task (image level), would that still be considered a valid entry?

yes, it will be considered a valid entry, however, for the abdominal dataset your will get a default (=0 everywhere) submission, which will make it harder to win the combined Task. However, your submission will be still valid and you will also get to know your ranking for both datasets :D.
