I am an Assistant Professor at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia - de La Paz. From 2018 to 2021 I was a Postdoctoral Associate at the Machine Learning & Sensing Lab at the University of Florida. I got my doctoral degree at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia in 20 17. In general, I'm interested in applied mathematics, data analysis and machine learning. Most of my work consists of teaching programming and machine learning foundations and courses, and designing algorithms for processing and analyzing data (biological sequences, time series, text, audio signals, images, and videos).
