Doris’ qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and Social Administration and a Masters in Health Services Research. For the past ten years, she has worked on different research studies in the areas of maternal, newborn and child health and sexual and reproductive health. This has been in both rural and urban settings, as well as multi-country studies.
Currently a PhD student, Doris has experience in coordinating, supervising and working on research projects and programs, from inception to completion, including management of field teams, budgets, qualitative data analysis with QSR NVivo software, report writing and paper publication. She is skilled in developing different qualitative tools and conducting interviews using various methodologies, including focus group discussions, in-depth interviews, key informant interviews, narratives and participatory action research. Beyond research and academia, Doris has been involved in writing and editing books and documents.
