Dr.T.Kalaiselvi is presently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Applications, The Gandhigram Rural Institute-Deemed University, Gandhigram. She has 18 years of teaching and 15 years of research experience. She received her B.Sc (Gold Medalist) in Mathematics & Physics degree and M.C.A degree (University Rank) from Avinashilingam University, Coimbatore. She received her Ph.D degree from The Gandhigram Rural Institute-Deemed University on Medical Image Analysis in February 2010. She received the PDF from the same department in 2011. She was a recipient of DST Young Scientist research fellowship during 2008-2011. She received Nvidia-GPU award during 2015. Her research focuses on MRI of Human Brain Image Analysis to enrich Computer Aided Diagnostic process, Telemedicine and Teleradiology Technologies. She has about 107 publications in International Journals and Conferences. She has authored a book titled "Brain Portion Extraction and Brain Abnormality Detection from MRI of Human Head Scans". She has served as a visiting scientist to University of New Brunswick, Canada during May-July 2013. An Android based application developed based on her research work has won First Position in National Student Research Convention, ANVESHAN-2013, organized by Association of Indian Universities (AUI), New Delhi, under Health Sciences Category. She is an active reviewer of several International Journals in Elsevier, IEEE, SpringerPlus, Wiley and Bentham Science publications and Defense Science Journal (DSJ) of DRDO, GoI publications. She is currently guiding 4 Ph.D scholars and has completed 4 Ph.D scholars in Medical Image Processing. She organized a Two-Day National Conference on Computational Methods, Communication Techniques and Informatics – NCCCI 2017 during January 2017, co-organized a Two-Day International Conference on Computer Vision, Networks and Informatics – ICCVNI 2018 during March 2018 and co-chaired a National Seminar (Virtual) on AI and its Multi-Disciplinary Stances. She is a member of various academic committees in The Gandhigram Rural Institute and other Institutes. She is a Life Member in Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), Life Member in Telemedicine Society of India (TSI) and Regular Member in Machine Intelligent Research (MIR) Lab, Washington, USA.
