Dr. Mohammad Azam Khan currently working as an assistant professor in the Department of Software Engineering at Daffodil International University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Prior to this, he was a brain pool research scientist in the Kim Jaechul Graduate School of Artificial Intelligence at KAIST, Daejeon, South Korea. He held various engineering positions as well at Dhaka Power Distribution Company Limited (DPDC), one of the largest power distribution companies in Bangladesh.
He completed his Ph.D. degree in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at the College of Informatics, Korea University, Seoul, South Korea. He obtained his BS and MS from International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC) and Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), respectively.
He has published several peer-reviewed technical articles in premier venues and journals, including NeurIPS, CVPR, ACL, IEEE transactions on medical imaging, Scientific Reports, and so on. Dr. Azam has received several prestigious awards for his innovative contributions in research and technology, including two BASIS National ICT Awards in 2020 and in the HeLP Challenge, organized by Asan Medical Center, Seoul, South Korea as an advisor to the champion team.
His primary areas of interest in research include the applications of machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) techniques, with an emphasis on time series data analytics and medical image analysis tasks. Throughout his Ph.D. and subsequent postdoctoral research period, he has dedicated himself to leveraging ML/DL techniques and has contributed to several published research articles in these domains. Motivated by an unyielding enthusiasm for conducting cutting-edge research using ML/DL techniques, he is excited and eager to further contributions through collaboration with a distinguished team that shares similar research interests and expertise.
