Thalida Em Arpawong, PhD, MPH, is a Research Assistant Professor of Gerontology, director of the Gerontology Bioinformatics Core, and co-Lead of the Genomics Translation Across Species Core of the USC-Buck Nathan Shock Center (https://uscbucknsc.org/gtasc-core/). Her research focuses on elucidating pathways through which genetic and environmental components combine to improve emotional and cognitive health into older ages. The environmental components she is interested in includes factors that create socioeconomic disparities, such as gender, race and ethnicity, and earlier life adversity.
