Nicklas Linz NicklasLinz

Nicklas is the managing partner of ki elements, based in Saarbrücken, Germany. After completing his computer science studies at Saarland University, Nicklas worked as a scientist at the German Research Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) in Prof. Wahlster's research group Cognitive Assistance Systems. Here, Nicklas dealt with applied machine learning methods and natural language processing. The focus of his research and the topic of his dissertation is the automatic recognition of dementia in spoken language. Nicklas is the author of numerous conference and journal publications, which have been awarded several Best Paper Awards. Today, Nicklas is the full-time manager of ki elements, which he founded in 2017 together with other DFKI scientists. With the medical product app ∆elta, the start-up uses speech and language in the early detection of dementia. ∆elta is used in numerous clinical studies for speech data collection.
