Dr. Saykin is the Raymond C. Beeler Professor of Radiology and Imaging Sciences and Professor of Medical and Molecular Genetics at Indiana University School of Medicine where he serves as director of the Indiana Alzheimer Disease Center (IADC) and of the IU Center for Neuroimaging. Dr. Saykin leads the Genetics Core of the NIA Alzheimer’s Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI) and participates in multiple NIH AD consortia including AMP-AD, MODEL-AD and the AD Metabolomics Consortium (ADMC). His research focuses on the integration of multimodal brain imaging endophenotypes and multi-omics methods for early detection of AD and for identification of disease mechanisms and potential therapeutic targets. He co-leads parallel NCI-sponsored research aimed at understanding the basis of cognitive effects of systemic chemotherapy for non-CNS cancer. Dr. Saykin is the founding Editor-in-Chief of Brain Imaging and Behavior, a Springer-Nature journal.
