I am currently an associate professor at Greehey Children's Cancer Research Institute, Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at UT Health San Antonio. Prior I trained in Dr. Roel Verhaak's lab at MD Anderson Cancer Center. My research focuses on understanding the cancer genome and cancer evolution. I am particularly interested in telomeres/telomerase, chromosomal instability, and brain cancer. During 2011-2017, I was extensively involved in TCGA brain and adrenal cancer projects, and briefly liver cancer project.
At UT Health, my lab uses data science approaches to study the cancer genome, telomeres/telomerase, model systems, celluar ageing, etc. Our goal is to find insights from the data, and bring insights into tangible outcomes. We welcome collaborations!
